Trish Morris
Hi, I'm Trish.
It's difficult to read one of these pages and get a sense of a person, so let me tell you a little about myself.
I'm a therapist who works with people either individually or as part of a couple. Over the years, I've had the privilege of sitting with people through some of life's most difficult moments and helping them find a way forward.
Registered Psychotherapist
Master of Arts (MA) in Marriage & Family Therapy
Member, Ontario Association of Mental Health Professionals
Part of the Focus on the Family Canada Counselling Network
My clinical work is supported by specialized training in:
- Trauma-informed care
- Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT)
- Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
- Relational therapy
One of the things I often tell people when we begin is that it's my job to adjust to you, not your job to adjust to me.
You don't need to prepare for therapy. You don't need to know exactly what you want to say. You don't need to have everything figured out before you arrive.
Some sessions involve talking through something happening right now. Some involve understanding patterns that have been around for years. Sometimes we're solving a problem. Sometimes we're trying to understand one.
We'll start where you are.
